Description
Recognized as one of the top-rated outdoor juried fine art and fine craft shows in the country, the Raymond James Gasparilla Festival of the Arts celebrates its 40th anniversary on March 6-7, 2010. Each year, 300 accomplished artists from the United States and abroad converge on downtown Tampa to show their work to over 250,000 art enthusiasts. The festival also features outstanding local and regional entertainment, creative art activities for children, the Young Artist Showcase, emerging artists and great food. Festival artists vie for what is considered among the country's leading cash awards, including the coveted $15,000 Raymond James Best of Show Award. In addition to a generous purchase award program, cash awards to artists increased to an all-time high of $75,000 for the 2009 event.
